A New Beginning
When I entered LPU, my goal was to find myself. My intention was to find that child that was so deep inside me that I never came to notice him, the child that just sat with knees touching his chest, heads down, and just waiting for someone to cherish him, to acknowledge him, and it happened. I found people who cherished him, who love him, the child that was just sobbing deep inside me looked up and saw not darkness, but light, light of acceptance. He was scared at first, to be vulnerable, to show his quirks, to show his inadequacies, but he was loved by everybody. Shivangi, Gourav, Arpit, Aryaman, Owais, Lexander, Jilu, Aarab, Rajvardhan. People loved him, from my perspective, I felt like a golden ball of light, trying to make everybody laugh, to make people smile. Even a little sliver of smile from someone sad would make me jump. I found you, the only reader to this blog, I found you Shivangi. You accepted me, helped me fight my insecurities, smiled at my quirks, helped me when I felt down, you picked that child up, gave him your finger and asked him to just walk by your side without tension. I never ever felt even a small hint of judgement from you, no matter what I did, no matter what mistake I made, you just smiled at me accepting those, and just asking me to improve. You never asked me to stop doing something even though it annoys you, or just creeps you out. You laughed at my jokes, made me realise my mistakes and stood by my side, I can't thank you enough, I can't ever thank you enough. Because of you my relationship with my family got better. I want to give a thank you to you from that child, from that sad little child who is now jumping up and down every time he thinks of you.
He wants to thank you. The kid who was ridiculed when he just wanted to make people laugh. Who was beaten down by random bullies all because of his height which was not even in his control. Who could not share his issues with anybody, and just ignore them, hope for a better day, who gave up on finding good friends, who gave up on finding someone who cares, who just gave up. I came to LPU to run away from all that, I was just a child, and thank you for taking care of him.
Thank You, Shivangi...
