introspection
is being happy really the end goal of life? we all are chasing a future where we are happy. we all delay learning things or experiencing things till the time we are in that future. "wanna do this?", "no i'll do this when ....". why not now? to pursue a future, we are forgetting to live today, and that does not mean partying, or some shit along the lines with it. to live is to experience. walk in the park. smile at the trees. smile at the nature. smile for no reason. we all are hustling to complete a to-do list, which is a part of a bigger task list, which is a subset of another bucket list. why? if the goals matter so much, we need to make a to do list. we all are stuck in the past, dreaming about the future, and meanwhile wasting our present. why not live it? what happened in your past, stays in your past. if it was bad, just smile and learn from it. we all are held back because of some reason. because of some psychological problem that "we" have created.
it seems like we are losing our way. and to find the solution, we go on youtube, to listen to other's solution, rather than looking inside. i admire people who work hard, who sacrifice their today for tomorrow. but when you look at them, listen to them, they are just as much enjoying the process. mike tyson said, "discipline is doing something, even though you hate it". but looking at his career, he enjoyed boxing, he enjoyed winning so much, he wanted to give it his all. i think, people need to look at everything from a different perspective.
in today's world it is easy to get ahead of people. they all are hindered by their superficial problems. i am not talking about the physically or mentally challenged people, because they don't seem to be so held up about their challenges either. they still give their all when working. i am not able to put much of my thoughts into words, but i think i have started to understand the world a little bit more. you don't have to live a life that is fulfilled, rather live a life that is filled fully. if you are sacrificing your today, by watching reels, and wasting your time doing things that don't matter in the long run, you are sacrificing a future, that would have mattered in the long run.
amor fati. a phrase used by stoics, and loved by nietzsche. amor fati means "love of fate". accepting your fate, loving your fate is important. this does not mean that you leave everything to your fate, you still need to work for your future, but it is of no use to be tensed about the future, or being held up by the past. the past that happened to you, won't ever change. your future which is going to happen, is not a thing you can predict. as soon as you accept these, you can live today.
people who don't work towards their goal hard enough, don't have a reason to. as simple as that. making to do lists won't help. find your why, before you do the what. because the first step towards your goal asks you the why? and if you don't have a strong enough reason, you might fall behind. to get ahead of people, first know yourself. if you do this, i don't guarantee you success, but i can guarantee you fulfillment.
